N let Arjun pick half a basket of green strawberries before I told N that green strawberries don't ripen on their own into red ones!
Lila was very good at finding ripe strawberries

We decided to take day trips out of the city over the long Memorial Day weekend. On Sunday, we went berry picking near Pescadero, then drove down to the Santa Cruz Boardwalk. The kids were a bit young for the Boardwalk, but we had fun picking strawberries by the ocean, and stopped in Palo Alto for dinner (and for N to show Lila and Arjun his alma mater).
Monday, we found a winery up north that offered a heated pool and cabanas to rent by the day. The best part of the day was having fun with Arjun and Lila in the pool. Almost as nice was the nice long nap that the two buns took in the lounge chairs while mom and dad relaxed by the pool!
