We braved the crazy traffic and made it up to Lake Tahoe for a long Independence Day/anniversary weekend. True to our tradition, N and I celebrated our anniversary with a scrabble game and a mini-trip, though this is the first year it is with both kids! N took the initiative and planned everything this year - down to a surprise massage for me and a fancy dining-in dinner for our 4th anniversary. Thanks N, and Minoo and Raman for the weekend of treats!
Lila and Arjun also loved the trip - the days were so warm that we could all hang out by the pool, and they loved the Fourth of July fair, with ponies, petting zoo, and best of all for Lila - face painting and all the watermelon she could eat. We also made it to Northstar, which had great shopping (see little miss "Pretty Woman" above) and a giant chess game for Arjun. Can't wait to go back next year!
