nana and ah-du

Lila's vocabulary is increasing at an incredible pace. Just in the past week, she has started imitating everything we say, from "turtle" to "bear" to "snail." She can also say almost letter of the alphabet (except W...that one's hard). She's also starting to combine words, such as saying "byyyye dadima!" right before her nap. my favorite though, is a 3 word phrase: "Who did that!?" She likes to say it right before doing something she knows is naughty.

My other favorites are when she says her name and Arjun's name. I'm not sure that these will stick, but she currently refers to herself as "nana" and Arjun as "ah-du". So cute.

Meanwhile, Arjun has found his feet.

Haha. In all seriousness, though, sometimes I feel bad for Arjun. How can you compete with someone who has just done every new thing that you are learning less than a year ago? When Lila found her feet we all oohed and ahhed over it, but poor Arjun's milestones largely go unnoticed. Luckily Arjun's just naturally the cuddliest, happiest baby (with the softest pillowiest tummy...holding him is like hugging a teddy bear), so even if he isn't doing something to wow us we're falling in love with him every moment.
