We decided on a whim to visit the B. Bryan Preserve in Point Arena over Independence Day weekend. N thought it would be fun to get away as he wasn't too busy at work, and I'd always wanted to see the zebras (they remind me of our honeymoon 5 years ago!)
So we packed up the kids and made the 4 hour drive north. The cabin was a bit cramped, but Lila and Arjun loved sharing their little alcove bedroom and chattered happily into the night. Not a lot of sleeping that weekend, but a lot of sibling bonding! Lila especially loved her zebra blanket.
N and I were both stricken by allergies the whole weekend (guess thats what happens out in nature!), but it was fun to see the cute zebras, antelopes and kudu on the preserve, and to enjoy a small town 4th of July fair on Sunday. The 360 view from the lighthouse was incredible!
