We were invited to a fun summer BBQ in Marin yesterday and the kids got to play with some of their oldest friends. Petra and Sophie have been Lila's friends since she was in the 2 year-old class at preschool! It is amazing to see how much everyone has grown (Nicholas was only 6 months when he came to our house for his first playdate, and now he is a funny 3 year-old.)
It was also amazing to watch the kids splashing and swimming around on their own after a year of swimming lessons. Water was freezing, so none of the adults braved it. Hopefully they will be able to keep up with their friendship even though the girls are all now living in different cities!
